So, I have an idea… Concept and would love some thoughts from other RPers on formation… I am newer to the RP world. I have formed a guild called beneficence. My monk NyghtLotus is the leader of the guild.
benefice - The Order of the Lotus Premise is in the name - : the quality or state of doing or producing good : the quality or state of being beneficent. The ranks are set by color - red, green, white lotus… You are placed base on your primary interest. (I thought this might allow me to have an open platform to appeal to several players. - Red Lotus are our raiders, White Lotus or main questers and knowledge seekers, green lotus would be our players more focused on ecom. Etc… This is strickly an idea in the works. The leaership would be made of two level of officers. coucil members and high council members.
We would be about helping not only our members… but being know for being helpful by any we we encounter. I have hopes of working with other RP guilds for events and such… Would love to see your thought s on how we might further develop - espec in relation with the upcoming expansion.

It sounds like a great idea. Separating the guild based on what their preference in game is normal. I've been in more than a few guilds who did multiple things at once, and it didn't mean much besides indicating who wanted to raid. Councils work if you have a strong core who have a common view. I enjoy using a council type.
As for the future development. That will grow in roleplaying. The stories will forge new stories and help grow your overall story. When it comes to the new expansion. Always remember its your guilds story. So you can weave a story to your liking around the lore. We'd love to hear more about this guild too.

I love the idea of color coding ranks! And it's great you've already got a plan concerning how you want to proceed with the guild. I'm sure it'll be great :)
